Future generations will want to see that the metropolitan region is basing its growth and sustainability on the urban center. Endless expansion into suburbs and exurban areas without solid urban growth are detrimental to Cincinnati's future. Recent focus and investment in core neighborhoods are great indicators of a change in the long-time problem that I've seen with living in the area. This focus will need to be doubled or tripled to keep the next generation attracted to 'home'. New infrastructure, good investment in the city, and balanced growth-based budgets from the council and the County will all help show that we care about seeing Cincinnati thrive in the future. |
