Personally, I much prefer public spaces in lieu of private areas. When we bought our home, we purposely chose a house with no yard directly next to a city park and within walking distance of three neighborhood squares. Although we own property, it's very minimal compared to suburban standards. The real value lies in the fantastic shared spaces with our neighbors. |
