The events held in the city help bolster the reputation and appeal of Cincinnati in a general sense. They can help remind individuals of the city, but I don't feel that employers would use events as a specific marker for an attractive city.
Obviously, tourist and retail businesses would be more attracted to a city that brought in more tourists and shoppers. From a corporate point of view, it only helps improve overall city image.
